These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Gas Architect website and the gas installation services provided by Gas Architect ("we", "our", or "us"). By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. About Our Services

Gas Architect provides professional gas installation, repair, maintenance, and compliance services across South Africa. Our services include but are not limited to:

  • Gas Compliance Certificates (Certificate of Conformity / CoC)
  • Gas stove, hob, geyser, braai, heater, and fireplace installations
  • Fire Department approval applications
  • Gas repairs and servicing
  • Gas cylinder supply and refills

2. Qualifications & Compliance

All work performed by Gas Architect is carried out by SAQCC (South African Qualification and Certification Committee) registered gas installers. We comply with:

  • SANS 1539 — Appliance approval and certification
  • SANS 10087-1:2013 — Gas installation standards
  • OHSCA — Pressure Equipment Regulation of the Occupational Health and Safety Act

3. Quotes & Pricing

  • All quotes are provided free of charge and are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated.
  • Prices may vary depending on the scope of work, materials required, and site conditions.
  • A final quote will be confirmed before any work commences.
  • Additional work not included in the original quote will be communicated and agreed upon before proceeding.

4. Bookings & Appointments

  • Appointments are scheduled based on availability and confirmed via phone, WhatsApp, or email.
  • We request at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
  • Gas Architect reserves the right to reschedule appointments due to unforeseen circumstances, with prior notice.

5. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • We accept payment via cash, EFT (electronic funds transfer), and card.
  • For larger projects, a deposit may be required before work commences.
  • Unpaid invoices may incur interest as permitted by South African law.

6. Warranties & Guarantees

  • All installations come with a workmanship guarantee.
  • Manufacturer warranties on appliances and materials apply as per the manufacturer's terms.
  • Warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, tampering, or unauthorised modifications.
  • A valid Certificate of Compliance (CoC) is issued for all installations where applicable.

7. Customer Responsibilities

As a customer, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your requirements and property
  • Ensure safe and reasonable access to the work area
  • Not tamper with or modify any gas installation without a qualified gas installer
  • Report any gas leaks or faults immediately
  • Maintain gas appliances according to manufacturer guidelines

8. Limitation of Liability

  • Gas Architect is fully insured for all work performed.
  • We are not liable for damage caused by pre-existing faults, customer modifications, or misuse of gas appliances.
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the value of the services provided for the specific job in question.

9. Website Use

  • The content on this website is provided for general information purposes only.
  • We strive to keep information accurate and up to date but do not guarantee completeness.
  • The website may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for third-party content.
  • Unauthorised use of this website may give rise to a claim for damages.
